A new report from PLOS ONE reveals that despite people mainly accessing podcasts via their phones, the individuals who listen to them more often tend to use their phones less.
The study involved around 300 people from ten countries aged between eighteen and sixty-four. According to the data collected, the most important aspect related to smartphone addiction was the duration of regular podcast consumption.
The study also found that, unlike other forms of media, people listened to podcasts in pursuit of information rather than out of a desire to meet social or emotional needs.
